Job Description

You are able to analyze business problems, perform systems analysis, design, configure and write high quality, well documented and tested code in support of new and enhanced systems, subsystems and services for a diverse range of IT solutions.

You have:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Development or related field OR 3+ years of experience in a development capacity
- Strong knowledge of design patterns, data structure, analysis and algorithms, continuous integration/continuous delivery, version control, documentation and automated testing
- Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into IT solutions, using mathematical and statistical data analysis methods
- Applied experience analyzing, designing and developing/configuring applications utilizing one or more of the following technologies: Python, Java, C++/C#, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs
- Strong knowledge of database concepts, SQL, big data analytics, machine learning, datawarehouse and datalake
- The ability to communicate well within a team and have the desire to learn new skills
- Structured thinking and the ability to think outside the box for the best answer
Nice to have:
- Certification, or working towards, in the above technologies
- A practical understand of Agile methodology
What you will do:
- Analyze business problems and design IT solutions to meet client needs
- Review business requirements, processes, data models and service models for opportunities to create new functionalities and services
- Assist with the creation of prototypes or proof-of-concept efforts, using data analysis and machine learning
- Write high quality and well-documented code
- Create and execute unit test strategies to valid design against business and performance requirements
- Provide application and technical support, including investigation and resolution of reported incidents and problems
