To support our continued growth, Hammerton is hiring full-time, experienced Sales Development professionals for the purposes of lead generation and appointment setting in our Salt Lake City office. The Sales Development Representative (SDR) position is am essential component in our sales process and contributes by qualifying leads and contacting potential prospects. This position works on site due to the complexity of the product and sales process and collaborates with our sales executives and engineering teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Outbound calling to identify new business opportunities with cold and warm leads as well as existing customers.
- Identify and contact key decision makers within our residential and builder channels to introduce them to Hammerton and our products.
- Update and maintain our CRM prospect database on a daily basis and schedule necessary follow-up.
- Leverage our proprietary sales intelligence tools to identify new business opportunities by initiating direct communication with cold contacts through email, outbound calls and instant messaging.
- Effectively communicate with decision makers to educate them about our products.
- Work closely with internal sales executives and engineering team to close new sales.
- Achieve and surpass monthly targets and goals.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma required.
- 1-3 years of experience of administrative, sales, customer service, or other closely related experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one year of proven success in outbound sales or lead generation.
- Prior sales experience is a plus but not required.
- Self-starter and hardworking, with a track record of success and drive for achievement.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with both internal and external customers.
- Prior experience with CRM and sales intelligence tools.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- This position works within the manufacturing plant for product training and communicating with other departments.
