Job Summary
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President of Sales Enablement will play a pivotal role in driving our sales strategy and optimizing operational efficiency within our National Sales team. The role will ensure seamless operations and maximize productivity that will drive prudent market share growth. Using analytics and market intelligence, the role will develop and implement innovative ideas, concepts, and a collaborative approach to drive an exceptional customer experience. The position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of sales operations, and a passion for driving results.

Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with Sales senior leadership team to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company objectives, market trends, and customer needs.

Operational Excellence: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of sales processes, systems, and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness. Partner with Risk and Underwriting leadership to ensure teams are aligned around customer needs while balancing the current risk appetite.

Performance Analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate customer satisfaction, sales performance, and identify areas for improvement.

Sales Methodology Framework: Develop an effective framework that will drive a consistent and effective approach to uncovering, addressing, and solving customer related issues that will support the achievement of their strategic goals.

Sales Enablement: Lead the Sales Enablement team in the development and delivery of training programs, resources, and tools to empower the Sales team (National and Regional) and enhance their skills, knowledge, and effectiveness.

Marketing and Communications: In collaboration with the Sales senior leadership team, lead the company’s national sales, marketing and communications strategy to enhance and maintain Sagen’s reputation as the mortgage insurer of choice.

Product Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance and Risk to assess and develop new products that align to our sales strategies. Facilitate a collaborative effort to drive innovation and enhancements to our product offerings.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Analytics, Operations, Finance, Risk, and IT, to align sales initiatives with broader company strategies and initiatives.

Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement sales technology solutions, such as CRM systems, and analytics tools, to streamline processes and drive productivity.

Forecasting and Planning: Partner with Finance, Risk, and Operations teams to develop accurate sales forecasts, budget projections, and resource allocation plans.

Leadership and Team Development: Build and lead high-performing teams, providing ongoing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in the mortgage lending industry.
  • University degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in; strategic sales and operations management, with a proven track record of delivering top line results.
  • Extensive experience leading a large team of management and professional level staff.
  • Superior relationship management skills with the proven ability to effectively influence customers, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • In-depth understanding of financial services and Mortgage Insurance and proven success in developing and implementing successful strategies and delivering top line results.
  • Proven success in managing multiple assignments/priorities and deadlines, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
