Job Description
The Sales Representative is responsible for the direct and distribution sales of Interplastic products and services throughout a particular region. These professionals are responsible for managing and increasing the sales with both distribution and direct sales in their designated territory. They are responsible for supporting the customers and distribution sellers to ensure they reach sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for generating leads within existing accounts and prospective accounts utilizing our current product mix and any new product opportunities.
- Present, promote, and sell products to existing and prospective customers.
- Establish, develop and maintain positive distribution and customer relationships
- Coordinate the resolution of customer problems and concerns to maximize satisfaction
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders within the region
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes
- Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales, and status reports
- Use Salesforce.com as a tool to establish/optimize the time to close new business opportunities and for pricing and communication purposes.
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interest, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
- Be responsive to territory pricing to maintain/grow sales.
- Travel as necessary. (Up to 50%)
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sales Representative or similar role, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and written skills.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
- BS/BA degree or equivalent industry experience. MBA preferred.
- Must have a satisfactory driving record
Preferred:
- 10+ years of Composite Industry Experience in both Sales and Operations.
- Good understanding of basic chemistry and equipment used in the industry
- Exceptional Interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization and customer base.
