Visit our Company website at www.wcrl.com to learn more.The Terminal Operator is responsible for loading and unloading of tank cars and tank trucks in the rail yard, while ensuring the necessary pumping verification procedures are followed. It is critical for this role to follow all relevant safety and SOPs when performing job duties.
The hourly rate is $36.76.

- Prepare tank cars for pumping by making all necessary connections and heat using steam
- Pump tank car and/or tank truck loads to the designated storage tanks following all “lineup” and pumping verification procedures
- Load and unload tanker trucks, and operating the polishing and bleaching systems
- Maintain a daily work log, and a clean and orderly work area
- Perform shift work based on company business needs which evolve and change in response to customer demands
- Work overtime as instructed to ensure minimal downtime of facilities

- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a production environment or similar industry an asset
- Strong knowledge of Tallow operations an asset
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills
- Ability to read or interpret diagrams, schematic drawings and manuals to determine work procedures
- Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance
- Perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing and reaching overhead above the shoulders daily
- Adaptable to adverse conditions including confined space, heights, cold weather, odours and exposure to animal by-products
