DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This professional, technical role focuses on the quality and functionality of Commonwealth digital services and software in a fast-paced Agile team environment. You will play a crucial role in addressing complex problems and building online experiences that make government services work better. Responsibilities include:
- Designing, executing, and automating test cases to validate that software systems meet established functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborating with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage and to identify and resolve issues early in the development lifecycle.
- Participating in scrum ceremonies, providing feedback on user stories, and working closely with the team to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality digital solutions.
- Applying testing methodologies, tools, and practices appropriate to agile environments, focusing on automation, regression testing, performance testing, and end-user experience.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- Two years of experience as a Quality Assurance Tester in an Agile environment; or
- Four years of experience performing technical testing of IT systems, along with a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes four years of technical QA testing in IT systems development.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices in Agile Scrum environments.
- You must have experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) and scripting languages.
- You must have knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the role of QA within an Agile framework.
- You must have the ability to write and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- You must have experience with performance and load testing, as well as tools to monitor and report results.
- You must have strong analytical skills to identify bugs, defects, and performance bottlenecks.
- You must have the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional Agile teams.
- You must have knowledge of version control systems, continuous integration pipelines, and test automation frameworks.
- You must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- You must pay attention to detail and have the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
