Job Description

As a Sales Trainer at GME Supply & our family of brands, the Sales Trainer will lead the onboarding of new sales representatives, equipping them with essential industry and product knowledge, as well as effective selling strategies by developing and implementing training programs to enhance transaction efficiency and customer satisfaction while utilizing data to identify improvement areas.

Taking full ownership of GME’s Sales Playbooks, the Sales Trainer will oversee the strategic implementation and ensure consistent adoption across the team, updating and enhancing content to keep it relevant and effective. As part of this, adapting and expanding Sales Playbooks to support new markets, product launches, and customer needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address unique market challenges and maximize sales team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the onboarding and development of new sales representatives on our internal systems, product & industry knowledge
  • Analyze the performance of sales professionals through KPIs, identifying gaps in knowledge and ensuring continuous improvement through targeted training
  • Lead the training, roll-out, continuous improvement, and expansion of Sales Playbooks, ensuring they remain aligned with evolving business needs, market trends, and best practices
  • Collaborate with peers in Operations, Marketing, IT Development, and Customer Service to ensure that the training programs are aligned with broader business objectives, including the use of CRM, Point of Sale, and our Platform Solutions
  • Identify product knowledge gaps and partner with core vendors to develop sell sheets that enhance product understanding and drive sales
  • Lead initiatives to continuously assess market trends and adjust training content to ensure the sales team stays ahead of industry developments

Ideal candidate qualifies include:

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to create, manage, and execute training programs efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information simply and effectively.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze sales performance data and adapt training to address areas for improvement.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM systems, sales automation platforms, and e-learning tools.
  • Work Ethic: Strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Travel Required: Up to 25% travel for training sessions, meetings, and site visits.
