Small Market Account Executive
Delta Dental of Kentucky is looking for an experienced account executive with knowledge of the healthcare industry for a position in Kentucky.
Job Summary:
Market and sell dental, vision, and ancillary product lines to small employer groups throughout Kentucky.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Increase sales in the small market segment throughout Kentucky.
- Maintain relationships with agents & brokers. Identify new opportunities for growth with existing brokers.
- Grow relationships with general agencies and expand current book of business.
- Make benefit recommendations and create proposals for employer groups.
- Train agents & brokers on quoting/enrollment toolkit. Be key contact for all small group inquiries with agents & brokers.
- Research and become a subject matter expert in small market segment by analyzing competitor data, local trends, and buyer behavior.
- Assist in product development and developing strategies with management surrounding small market growth.
- Represent the company at enrollment meetings, health fairs, industry association meetings, and broker meetings to present the advantages of Delta Dental products and services.
- Communicate effectively with various internal workgroups to facilitate resolution, problem-solve, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.
Minimum Qualifications:
Position requires a bachelor's degree and two to three years' related sales experience. Previous experience and knowledge of service in the healthcare insurance industry preferred. Must possess or be willing to obtain a Kentucky Health Insurance License. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Position requires up to 50-75% day travel; ability to communicate both orally and through written communications; self-motivated and ability to work independently; proven track record of sales success; proficient in Microsoft office; customer service experience in a service industry; able to resolve complex problems and use independent judgment; knowledge of group benefits.
Reliable transportation and vehicle insurance that meets all Kentucky state laws is required, as well as a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
