The Pahlisch Select Construction Site Supervisor (CS) has a thorough understanding of the entire construction process from conception to final occupancy within each building project. The Construction Site Supervisor is responsible for working alongside the Regional Construction Manager to ensure project planning, scheduling, resource allocations, project cost management, refined quality control measures, and best safety practices while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with Pahlisch Select Standards and jurisdictional codes through all trade partnerships.

  • Site cleanliness and organization for the site at all times (garbage, debris, lumber piles neatly organized) on all job sites.
  • Manage Pahlisch Select Signage, all are to be well placed, tidy, and straight for all job sites.
  • Schedules to be managed and updated daily as well as sent to all trades once a week.
  • Manage site meetings with each trade to ensure scope of work to its entirety as it relates to the specifications package for the job.
  • Manage and send weekly client updates that are professionally coordinated with job site highlights and progress.
  • Manage and print all job site specifications for each job site and have always them available on site.
  • Work alongside the Regional Construction Manager in construction process from start to finish with best practices and standards of Pahlisch Select.
  • Perform a key role in project planning, cost management, and the identification of resources required within each project.
  • Ensure that all construction activities move according to predetermined schedules and timelines based on contract.
  • Communicate effectively with trade partners, client managers, and clients throughout various phases of the project(s).
  • Maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines as predetermined through projections, bids, and estimates.
  • Perform electrical and cabinet walks as necessary with clients and create VPO and CO’s as necessary.
  • Routinely provide documents to trade partners to ensure delivery of building expectations.
  • Serve as a communication conduit from a technical construction aspect for all clients, staff, and trade.
  • Attend all customer orientations, celebrations, and closings (pre-present, and post) on all managed projects.
  • Provide extemporary customer service to all potential, past, present, and post clientele of Pahlisch Select.
  • Interpret and manage execution of building plans and specifications to field teams, trade partners, administrators, and client managers to ensure cohesion of documents pertinent to the build.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures that exceed the level of fit and finish standards.
  • Review trade performances and utilize educational tools and knowledge to enhance better costing for the building envelope.
  • Conduct pre-site meetings with clients, agents, for the “what to expect next” expectations and building timeline.
  • Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and/or claims.
  • Build a high level of rapport and communication with agency inspectors for code requirements.
  • Manage all inspections.
  • Manage field team assistants and supervisors as needed per region.
  • Provide proactive leadership and assume ownership of company culture and adapted playbooks.
  • Responsible for establishing and overseeing company construction policies and procedures to enhance efficiencies.
Requirements:
  • 5 + years building experience and leading multiple construction teams at varying levels of professional development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction, including best practices in residential construction.
  • Knowledge and ability to use Procore, Smart Sheets and Microsoft Project.
  • In depth ability to manage schedules and provide schedule forecasts.
  • Ability to foster relationships with trade partners and oversee their day-to-day contributions to the construction project.
  • Strong knowledge of negotiation process with contractors and the ability to conduct complex negotiations.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to engage others in company initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team building skills, including the ability to develop and coach management level and non-management level associates.
  • Ability to articulate the impact of construction on meeting the company’s business goals.
  • Ability to communicate the values of the organization and exemplify a high level of interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, communication skills.
  • Ability to foster and encourage diverse viewpoints.
