Sales & Business Development Manager
Position Overview:
Crystal Flash, a 100% employee-owned leader in fuels distribution, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Sales & Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships. This hybrid role focuses on both leading the sales team and developing new business opportunities. You will play a critical role in ensuring our company meets its ambitious growth goals while living out our core mission: to fuel the success of our customers, communities, and teammates.
As part of the leadership team, this role requires someone who is a strategic thinker, initiative-taking in identifying new opportunities, and passionate about fostering a culture of teamwork, integrity, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities across target segments. Drive new customer acquisition, retention, and "share-of-wallet" growth by offering innovative solutions that align with customer needs and Crystal Flashs value proposition.
- Sales Leadership & Strategy: Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing sales team to achieve aggressive growth targets. Develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with the companys long-term vision, ensuring all efforts are focused on market expansion, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and outstanding customer service. Lead the cross-functional effort to implement new initiatives, solve customer challenges, and align operational capabilities with customer needs.
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop deep relationships with key stakeholders, from C-suite executives to operational managers, ensuring that Crystal Flash becomes the preferred partner in every market we serve. Attend trade shows and networking events to build community connections and represent the Crystal Flash brand.
- Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and teamwork within the sales organization. Mentor and develop your team, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, tools, and confidence to meet their targets.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Leverage tools such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM and PowerBI to track performance, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions. Continuously seek feedback and market intelligence to refine sales approaches and identify emerging opportunities.
- Sales Reporting & Performance Management: Provide regular, detailed reports to senior management on sales activities, customer feedback, and market conditions. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the teams efforts are aligned with company goals and make adjustments where necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 8+ years of combined sales and business development experience with a strong record of growth and leadership in B2B environments, preferably in fuels, distribution, or technical services industries.
- 3+ years of sales management experience with proven ability to lead teams to exceed revenue and growth targets.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and operational challenges in the fuels or distribution industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, PowerBI, and other sales analytics tools.
- Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills with the ability to engage C-suite executives and decision-makers.

- Travel requirements include up to 40% of time spent traveling to meet with customers, attend trade shows, or visit regional locations. Overnight travel is required 3-5 nights per month.
