Job Description

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Is the technical authority on analyzer systems. Has full MOC authority for changes to analyzer systems.
  • Safety participation (safety meetings, safe visits, audits, etc.)
  • Determines analyzer equipment target performance, develops acceptance criteria for new analyzers, defines validation schemes and schedules, standards to be used and acceptable control limits.
  • Technical assurance for all new or replacement analyzer projects.
  • Focal Point for Project deliverables (SAP, Warehouse, PM, and Documentation.
  • Researches, identifies, and selects the most appropriate fit-for-purpose analyzer technology.
  • Develops and maintains evergreen 5-year analyzer replacement plans for obsolete analyzers.
  • Evaluates contractors and approves engineering, construction, and system integration contractors for analyzer projects on site.
  • Keeps current on Shell-approved technology.
  • Assures compliance to approved CS equipment list, EGGS/ DEPS, and site-specific technical requirements.
  • Interfaces with Operations, Environmental, Business, and other site disciplines as needed to address their long-term analyzer needs and recommends appropriate solution.
  • Assists Inspectors and Specialist to troubleshoot analyzer problems as needed.
  • Supports CSE’s assigned to Production areas on analyzer problems and issues.
  • Develops and owns all Quality System Plans (QSP) / ISO documents and work-processes.
  • Reviews analyzer performance histories, applies SQC tools to optimize analyzer PM’s and validation schedules. Routes E-30 requests for schedule changes.
  • Leads root cause analysis on analyzer related problems.
  • Focal Point in incident investigation for Analyzer Technical Group as needed.
  • Ensures maximum profitability to business from analyzer systems.
  • Work with Reliability organization to conduct RCM studies for analyzers.
  • Support TA (ie. shutdown, start-up planning).
  • Lead in Focus and Finish meetings for Analyzer Technical Group.
  • Input info into MTA database.
  • Support Internal and External audits.
  • Create, review, audit and implement procedures for critical systems related to process analyzers.
  • E-6 Audits and subject matter expert.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • BS in Physical Sciences or Engineering.
  • Experience in Control Systems field support with emphasis on analyzer technology.
  • Knowledge of refining and chemicals operations. Experience in manufacturing or technical support.
  • TWIC Card is required

The pay range for this position is $75.00-$100.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
