About the role:
Develop our Contract Logistics business in Canada by direct sales and supporting the wider vertical commercial organization as a subject matter expert.
Responsible for the overall annual Contract Logistics budget, value proposition and solution engeneering.
Maintaining strong business relationships with Maersk’s strategic clients while offering logistics solutions that add value to the client’s business, managing client expectations, and delivering positive results to Maersk.
In this role, you will:
Management of strategic initiatives for Contract Logistics within Canada.
Strategic growth plans required to achieve our yearly budgets.
Sr. Level entry point to customer for all levels of the client organization
Special Projects
Establish / maintain Critical Success Factors
Drive improvement within the client’s organization
Selling additional integrated logistics services including but not limited to:
Contract Logistics
Intermodal: FTL & LTL Domestic & Cross Boarder
Intermodal: Container haulage.
Supply Chain Management & Value Added (VAS) services
Transload / Warehousing
Insurance
Monitor profitability
Contract renewal negotiations
Problem solving
Sales Systems familiarity including Salesforce.com
Special account handling when needed
Handling general enquiries
Liaise with Area Sales Management on strategic issues
Travel when required.
Resolve large and/or complex issues/problems
Communicate on many levels within the client’s organization, often from front line customer service people up to CEO level.
Comply with all Federal, Provincial and Local legal requirements
Maintain technical and professional proficiency
Attend classes or educational workshops
Review professional publications
Performing other Job-related duties as required.
What you bring:
Bachelor's degree is required
3-5 years of external sales experience in contract logistics industry experience.
Business Understanding - Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of customer and Maersk’s industry and market dynamics, value drivers, products, services, systems and business processes.
Communication - Ability to convey, receive and share information to ensure mutual understanding internally and externally across all levels.
Excellent negotiation, listening, probing and closing skills.
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com and MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), and an ability to quickly adapt and work with new software.
Travel, as required

Job Type: Full Time
Salary: $ 125,000 to 140,000 CAD *
*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors, such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
