Job Title: Business Development Representative
Location: Ontario Region; Head Office located in Burlington, ON
Reports to: Business Development Lead and Director Sales, Marketing and Customer Service

Ontario, to join our team and play a vital role in expanding our market presence, nurturing customer relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
Position Overview:
As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for a servicing both existing dealer accounts and identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing relationships, and leading sales initiatives to achieve company goals. You will play a critical role in driving strategic growth by identifying market trends, understanding client needs, and delivering tailored solutions. This position requires a combination of excellent sales acumen, strong negotiation skills, and a customer-service success mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets, including both new clients and expanding existing relationships.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline using a combination of inbound and outbound strategies with our in-house Marketing team
- Manage dedicated customer accounts, providing exceptional service and support aligning with client expectations
- Maintain and grow key client accounts, working to expand relationships, resolve issues and achieve customer goals with tailored solutions
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create compelling proposals and presentations that align with client needs and company goals.
- Leverage networking, events, and partnerships to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
- Engage with decision-makers, owners and partners to provide revenue growth opportunities
- Travel required across Ontario for regular dealer visits and connections.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closing, ensuring seamless handoffs to the implementation or customer success teams.
- Negotiate terms and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Continuously monitor sales metrics and KPIs to track performance and adjust strategies as needed.
- Build long-term relationships with clients through consistent follow-up and exceptional customer service.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, customer service and operations, to align sales efforts with company goals and ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Provide feedback and insights to all internal teams based on customer interactions and market demands.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- With the use of an internal CRM, provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior leadership.
- Use CRM tools and data analytics to track progress, analyze customer behavior, and identify areas for improvement.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in business development and sales, with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in the leisure or pool industry is ideal, including understanding the unique challenges and opportunities in the market.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to build rapport and trust
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics platforms.

- Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred). Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
