Responsibilities:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create partnership(s) with business unit process owners and both internal and external auditors in design, planning, scoping, control testing, and documentation of Post’s internal controls
- Perform process-level risk assessments to determine the control mix for each cycle and the organization
- Lead the annual walk-through process with control owners and both internal and external auditors to ensure documentation reflects current business processes
- Communicate testing results to management and identify corrective actions
- Make recommendations for control and process improvements to leadership across the organization and ensure that all agreed upon recommendations are subsequently implemented
- Work with both internal and external auditors with a goal to obtain control reliance for external audits
- Seek standardization and automation for managing internal controls and deploy innovative technology solutions to improve the design and operating effectiveness of controls, documentation, and assessment of internal controls
- Stay current of changes in financial regulations and standards. Ensure the company's internal control framework and accounting policies are updated accordingly
- Assist and partner with technical and business unit level accounting to standardize and document global accounting policies
- Partner with technical accounting to develop and lead recurring company-wide accounting policy training

Partner with Corporate Development on M&A projects
- Review diligence materials for accounting items and assess quality of earnings for M&A targets
- Assist in review and drafting of purchase agreement language
- Perform integration assessment around internal control structure and accounting policy alignment
- Partner with Technical Accounting as needed on acquisition accounting
- Evaluate, plan and implement new accounting and disclosure guidance (climate change (ESG), DISE (Disaggregated Income Statement disclosures), Software as Service
- Formalize internal reporting and process
- Lead co-sourced teams to support certain special projects
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, CIA, or CFE are highly regarded
- 10+ years of experience in financial statement auditing, Sarbanes Oxley compliance or a combination, with a proven track record of leadership in a global setting
- 6-8 years Big Four accounting firm with public company auditing experience
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley compliance and COSO framework
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams and projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to adapt to changing regulatory environments and business needs
- Ability to travel both domestic and international (20-25%)
