Total annual comp is in the $100,000 area; base is around $70,000. You earn a commission on Territory Sales that is virtually guaranteed and a bonus. The employer provides excellent benefits and a fully paid for vehicle (for both business and personal use). This is a work from home position.

HOME BASE:
Orange County (e.g. Irvine) south of Los Angeles will provide the most convenient access to the Southern California area that comprises the sales territory for this position. Best if you do not live too far south of San Clemente.
TERRITORY COVERED:
Geography covered includes Southern California from a little north of Los Angeles down to San Diego.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your task is to reinforce the Corporate Brand and sell roofing products, tools and equipment by calling on an established customer base of roofing contractors and industrial / manufacturing commercial buildings in Southern California.
Work from home. Given the expanse of Southern California, Orange County is the most central location in which to reside.
Supervise a Technical/Service Representative who conducts testing on roofs and recommends required / needed repairs or upgrades.
Sell company products to roofing contractors.
You will service existing clients and discover new clients by calling on roofing contractors, wholesale distributors and commercial buildings.
You will recommend required / needed repairs or upgrades and sell the company's offered products that will be required to do the job.
Demonstrations are done on flat one and two story buildings. You will not be expected to do any construction or repair work.
Be on the road every day and follow through with scheduled appointments within the assigned territory.
Work out of a Ford F-150 truck and with whatever small office type setting you’ll have at home.
You will be on the road every day following through on scheduled appointments.
You will likely have to do 5 to 6 overnights each month to cover the territory.
REQUIREMENTS:
You must be outgoing, friendly and motivated and want to work in outside sales.
You have 5 to 7 years of work experience or more in "business to business sales" (B2B).
Your work experience may have started while in University or College.
You have a Bachelor's degree in arts, science or business. People with other academic credentials and experience are encouraged to apply.
A service / hands-on / technical background will be very helpful. Some mechanical aptitude will be useful.
A building supplies / building materials background will be an advantage.
Any type of construction, contractor, building products or roofing background can be a plus.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail are important.
Excellent driving record. No DUI.
Other characteristics seen as an advantage are participation in high school or college sports as it correlates with team building and competitiveness, and being assertive in terms of sales style versus laid-back.
Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management software such as Sales Force will be an advantage.
Able to travel to Headquarters in Massachusetts for 2 weeks of training / orientation (expenses covered).
COMPENSATION:
Base salary commensurate with experience , plus commission plus bonus, should yield total comp around $100,000 annually (potential).
A company vehicle is provided and all related expenses are covered.
Excellent benefits.
$200 cell phone allowance per month.
