POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure compliance with the commercial sales, volume and profitability objectives of each product line, following the commercial strategy focused on the growth and improvement of results of the international distribution channel for the Caribbean. Executing established policies by following market strategies focused on the development of the international distribution channel and export, as well as the management of the categories of products involved.

Hybrid Work location, must be in Miami, FL or adjacent cities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following and performs additional responsibilities as assigned

  • Grow distribution in the Caribbean region
  • Collaborate to ensure the maintenance and improvement of the market share through professionalization of the sales process, maintaining close relationships with customers and providing excellent customer service.
  • Facilitate new distribution channels through a market penetration strategy. Provide timely and appropriate attention to final customers or decision makers. Identify opportunities for improvement and growth in the distributor network.
  • Price analysis and price list maintenance
  • Customer negotiations and relationship management
  • Claims process
  • Optimum origin analysis
  • Travel
  • Support and execute price policy.
  • Analyze financial and sales indicators for commercial strategies which support assigned business strategies, goals and objectives.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets in billing / volume, developing the market share in its region through cross functional teams.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the dealer network and effectively service key accounts, including government, large construction companies, regional and local construction institutions and authorities and industry colleges
  • Use data to provide realistic forecasts and sales projections and demand analysis.
  • Respond to quality complaints, as necessary.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, architecture, engineering or related degree.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in administration or similar.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel time up to 30% servicing respective market and within the assigned region

Experience

  • 3 years of experience in commercialization of products for construction, preference in finishing segment
  • 3 years of experience with creation and administration of accounts
  • Development and implementation of distribution channel sales strategies
  • Management of trade indicators
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers
  • Experience in construction materials or related industry
  • Marketing, financial and administrative knowledge and ability to analyze market behavior, including sales, coverage, market share, channel penetration, return on investment, price, rebates, customer agreements, distribution channel management etc.
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial experience in the Caribbean markets
  • Understanding and knowledge of building materials sales processes
  • 5 years of USG systems and associated technical knowledge
  • Execution of export-focused trade strategies
  • Secure and grow new commercial business

Required Skills

  • Must be bi-lingual: English and Spanish
  • Strong business acumen and professionalism.
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills, including negotiating, presentation, professional selling, conflict resolution and relationship building.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on working to and exceeding targets.
  • Effective and independent time and scheduling management of activities.
  • Ability to set and self-manage priorities to ensure maximizing account development for both existing and new accounts.
  • Proven ability to identify key decision makers and build relationships.
  • Agile and experienced at networking.


Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
