Senior Tax Accountants are responsible for playing a key role in client engagements by establishing a personal and direct working relationship with clients. They review Business, Individual, and/or Fiduciary tax returns. They will provide guidance on a variety of tax issues for clients, including tax planning and projections and will engage, maintain, and improve client relationships.

We stress the importance of everyone’s role on the team - we each have an important role to play that requires different levels of responsibility. We work in cross-functional teams that focus on our clients’ comprehensive financial position throughout the year, providing the opportunity to build relationships with both clients and advisors throughout the firm.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and Review complex Individual and Business tax returns and projections for local and nationwide high net worth clients
• Collaborate with advisors from all service lines Cerity Partners LLC offers to create integrated planning opportunities for clients
• Research, analyze, and resolve a wide range of tax issues
• Communicate with clients to request data, respond to questions, and participate in client meetings as a support role for the lead advisor

• Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in accounting or related field required
• 3+ tax seasons in public accounting required
• Experience using Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite (UltraTax) - preferred
• Master at Microsoft Excel, providing clear outputs for analysis and comprehension – preferred
• Must be able to work weekends during “busy” season
• Be a strong team player, providing superior service for all that we do, taking complete ownership of even the smallest task
• Keen, consistent attention to detail
• Proven ability to independently analytically solve issues both proactively and reactively
• Positive attitude, team player and professional appearance
• Effective at managing various projects and taking them to completion by firm deadlines
• Adaptable to evolving processes
