Business Unit Manager

PVM, Inc is actively seeking an experienced Business Unit Manager. As a Business Unit Manager, you fill a high-level role that oversees a broad range of functions related to the comprehensive operations of your business unit’s mission domain. You create and manage business plans and budgets, set, and enforce policies, and handle recruitment, hiring, and other personnel duties. You are also responsible for working towards sales or revenue benchmarks and creating strategic plans for growth and development. You are accountable for ensuring all team and facilities adhere to any applicable regulations, laws, and local codes. Additionally, you add value by being accountable for the management, monitoring, and controlling effort across the client’s project(s). You establish and maintain a professional relationship with the client and continue to assess their needs and business objectives as a trusted advisor. Additionally, you will be responsible for all revenue operations (RevOps) for your business unit, which ensures a measured and efficient approach to growth and providing impact to our customers.


Responsibilities:

  • Business Unit project/program resource estimates and Level of Effort (LOE) development
  • Resource planning and management for your Business Unit.
  • Hiring of staff for your Business Unit’s projects/programs, ensuring our team on-boards successfully with new and existing customers.
  • Personnel performance management, as well as your team’s adherence to and awareness of policies or processes relevant to your role or Business Unit
  • Ensuring adherence to RevOps at PVM guidance and execution using HubSpot as a data collection, monitoring, and decision-aid tool
  • Creating and maintaining planning and budgets of your Business Unit (6-month Business Unit plans)
  • Provide guidance on contract verbiage and statement of work development for contracts within your Business Unit and support Request for Information (RFI) responses that are relevant to your Business Unit.
  • Ensuring contractual obligations and relevant regulations are met.
  • Lead Kick-off briefings upholding PVM’s standard of development and delivery.
  • Ensure we deliver impact to our customers and uphold the highest standard of project/program management.
  • Maintaining customer retention and consistently exceeding customer expectations.
  • Travel on site occasionally in support of customer
  • Working towards sales or revenue benchmarks and creating strategic plans for growth and business development using our Sales Playbook.
  • Build and maintain relationships with our small business local representatives and partners as it relates to specific opportunities and industry vert
  • Bring innovative and creative solutions which combine PVM’s and our potential partners/team members capabilities to increase “probability of win” on opportunities.
  • Inbound opportunity search/targeting using standard government forecasting and opportunity search tools.
  • Attending industry days and customer events to ensure our team is kept abreast of opportunities and the customer is kept aware of PVM capabilities.
  • Support Capture activities such as gate reviews, storyboard development, gathering and relaying customer hot buttons, issues, and concerns.
  • Educate our customers and potential customers on PVM capabilities and opportunities as they related to the best solution for the buyer.
  • Support proposals as a writer and advisor as lead customer/buyer advocate as well as solution strategist.
  • Own the relationship with our partners at the opportunity level, especially as it relates to pre-solicitation and solicitation responses.

Requirements:

  • Active TS Clearance
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience working with DoD is preferred
  • Sales or Business Development background highly preferred

Education:

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • MBA or equivalent is a plus
  • PMP certification is a plus

Tools:

  • Working experience with a CRM (preferably Hubspot)
  • Familiarity with government forecasting and opportunity search websites and tools.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Office, SharePoint), BambooHR, Mavenlink/Katana
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools is a plus

Salary: $100,000- $165,000
