About the Role:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the dynamic field of physics and applied photonics? Do you thrive on supporting esteemed learned society brands such as the American Institute of Physics (AIP) in delivering exceptional content marketing solutions to professionals worldwide? Wiley presents an exciting opportunity for a proactive sales professional to spearhead sales initiatives with both new and existing accounts, focusing on advertising sales and content marketing solutions within the realms of physical sciences across North America. The primary responsibilities include prospecting for new business opportunities and nurturing existing account relationships. Leveraging the diverse Wiley portfolio, including renowned brands, the incumbent will be instrumental in developing sales on print and digital ad solutions to drive sales success growth in the physics/photonics market through their flagship publications such as Physics Today and other titles.

How you will make an impact:

  • Customer Acquisition and Relationship Management: A track record of acquiring new customers and fostering strong, enduring relationships with clients .
  • Marketing Solutions Expertise: Proficiency in selling the existing portfolio of marketing solutions to assist customers in achieving their marketing objectives.
  • Territory Management: Experience in managing accounts and executing prospecting strategies within the North American market.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to cultivate robust internal relationships with key stakeholders to support sales initiatives effectively.
  • Sales Target Attainment: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets while ensuring sustainable, profitable sales growth.
  • Industry Focus: Emphasis on selling across science and industrial markets, with a comprehensive understanding of advertising concepts, digital ad solutions, and content marketing strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience in effectively managing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to streamline sales processes and enhance customer interactions.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the Science or Advertising industry.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of advertising principles and digital marketing trends.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel and meet clients (25% approx.)
