SUMMARY
The Sales Representative will sell commercial roofing services offered by the company to current and new clientele, by providing expert guidance and tailored solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads, through networking, cold-calling, and referrals.
- Develops strong relationships with architects, contractors, property managers, and other relevant stakeholders in the industry.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs.
- Assesses and identifies products and services to meet the customers’ needs.
- Creates and presents competitive quotes.
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers, based on their needs.
- Collaborates with technical teams, to ensure accurate project estimates, feasibility,and timely completion of roofing projects.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
- Remains current in industry trends, and building codes and regulations related to commercial roofing systems.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- No supervisory responsibilities are a requirement for this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business or related field OR at least five (5) years of related experience.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a high-paced and stressful environment.
- Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Basic computer and Smartphone skills
- Ability to travel out of town/state, as required.
- Excellent team player.
- Willingness and aptitude to follow instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and customer quotes. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from current and potential customers and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts, such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems, as well as spreadsheet software and word processing software.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Prolonged periods of siting at a desk, working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time, when presenting product solutions.
- Must be able to travel.
- Must be able to frequently ascend/descend ladders up to 40 feet.
- Must be able to remain in a standing position for an extended period of time.
- Must be able to work in varied extreme weather conditions (extreme hot and extreme
cold weather), when demonstrating solutions to customers.

- Job sites may include multi-story buildings, with stairs.
- Work may be performed inside, as well as outside, of buildings.
- Roofing will be conducted on buildings of varied heights.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Starting salary of $35,000 - $95,000; hourly rate + commission;
- Medical, Dental, Vision = employer-paid is not offered at this time;
- Paid Time Off = after one (1) year of employment, one (1) week of paid time off, with incremental increases with tenure; and
- Paid Holidays = New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. The Employee may be asked to work on any unpaid holiday at an increased rate of pay, if customers and work situations require.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
