Job Description
As a Sales Representative at Green Medicine NJ, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with dispensaries & processors, owners, managers, and decision-makers throughout New Jersey. Your primary role will be to sell our premium cannabis products, educate clients on our offerings, and ensure a consistent product supply to meet the needs of clients and their customers. You will also work closely with our internal teams to understand product availability, pricing, and inventory to effectively meet market demands.
Sales Representative responsibilities & duties include:
Sales & Account Management:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow relationships with dispensaries and processors across New Jersey.
- Identify and target new accounts while nurturing and expanding existing client relationships.
- Present and sell Green Medicine NJ’s cannabis products to dispensaries and processors, understanding their specific needs and product requirements.
- Achieve sales targets and maintain regular communication with clients to track satisfaction and ensure continuous supply.
Market Research & Reporting:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor products, and evolving market conditions to provide valuable insights and adapt strategies.
- Collect feedback from clients on product performance, customer preferences, and market needs, and share this information with the cultivation team to influence product development and offerings.
- Regularly report on sales activities, market conditions, and competitor activities to management.
Product Education & Support:
- Educate dispensary staff on the unique qualities of Green Medicine NJ’s cannabis products, including strain profiles, cultivation methods, and best practices for customer use.
- Provide training and support to clients on inventory management, product rotation, and compliance with state regulations.
- Organize and attend product demonstrations, events, and trade shows to promote the company’s products and expand brand presence in the market.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the cultivation, operations, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure that product availability and delivery schedules meet customer expectations.
- Assist in the development of promotional materials, product samples, and pricing strategies in collaboration with the marketing department.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the cannabis industry or a related field (e.g., pharmaceuticals, alcohol, or food/beverage).
- Deep knowledge of the cannabis market, including industry regulations, consumer trends, processor and dispensary operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong, lasting relationships.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and sales pipelines.
- Ability to adapt to the evolving nature of the cannabis industry and state-specific regulations.
- A passion for cannabis and its potential therapeutic benefits is a plus.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel throughout New Jersey.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides Gmail, etc.)
