Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst / Quality Assurance (BA/QA) with a strong focus on requirements gathering, business requirements writing, and Scrum Master responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be skilled in crafting clear and concise user stories, effectively collaborating with the team, and managing them within SharePoint or Confluence.

With a deep understanding of the testing lifecycle and experience in creating comprehensive test deliverables, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing robust test suites across UI, API, and database layers. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our web application within an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the QA Manager, Functional Analyst Lead, and development teams to fully comprehend requirements, develop comprehensive test plans and scripts, and ultimately deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and create business, requirements based on the change requests from clients for each release.
  • Create mock-ups for various change requests during releases.
  • Create user stories for the requirements and create tasks in the Redmine ticketing system.
  • Create necessary documents and upload them in SharePoint for team review.
  • Implementation of quality measures including test coverage, functional testing and end-to-end testing, and performance and load testing
  • Manage and document test cases and test results ensuring full test coverage and clear reporting of test outcomes.
  • Support testing efforts for Angular-based UI applications.
  • Conduct Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups and actively contribute to Agile practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Perform data analysis, data validation, and data verification using SQL development skills, ensuring that data is correctly processed and stored within Oracle/PostgreSQL databases.
  • Perform database testing, ensuring proper data validation and query performance.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams using a ticketing system for defect tracking and documentation.
  • Support testing efforts for Angular-based UI applications.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Quality Assurance with a strong understanding of the application testing lifecycle.
  • Strong front-end and back-end testing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as SAFe and Scrum.
  • Experience in manual testing and database testing using tools like HeidiSQL, Mysql, and SQL Server
  • Solid understanding of software quality assurance, including test planning, script development, and execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve test discrepancies and technical anomalies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Experience in writing User Guide, Requirement Specifications, Workflow, UAT test cases, and database testing documents.
  • Experience in creating mock-ups and wireframes.

U.S. Residency Requirement:
  • Must be able to pass background investigations and obtain Public Trust clearance.

Good to have skills/Certifications:
  • Agile certification.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Java, and Cucumber framework.
  • Create and execute unit tests using JUnit and manage performance testing with JMeter in conjunction with Selenium.
  • Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger to validate service responses and interactions.
  • Proficient in SQL development for data analysis, data validation, and data verification.
  • Manage and document test cases and test results in TestRail or Xray, ensuring full test coverage and clear reporting of test outcomes.
  • Familiarity with Java, SpringBoot, Angular, Jquery, Git, and SVN is a plus
  • Familiarity with AWS hosting environments and Angular-based UI testing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Remine, JIRA, or similar defect and task-tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or Confluence is a plus.
