Minimum 1+ years social worker experience required.
We are working with a school district near Niles, Michigan to meet their need for a Social Worker for the remainder of the current school year.
Job Details:
- This filltime contract position extendsthrough the duration of the current school year, and offers strong long term potential for the upcoming school year
- Caseloads vary, and could include Pre-K through age 26
- Specific caseload assignment to be determined through the interview process based onexperience, background, and preference
- Most students have mild to moderate social/emotional and behavioral issues and are actively receiving counseling services
- Responsibilities Include:
- testing and evaluating students for determination of eligibility for special education services
- providing crisis intervention services
- facilitating individual and small group counseling services
- collaboratingwith classroom teachers, related service providers, school administration, and parents
- ensuring compliance with established timelines for services, meetings, and documentation
- Requirements:
- active Michigan Social WorkerLicense
- at least one year of school-based experience
- Michigan SSW 310 full or temporary approval
