Job Description
We currently have an opening for a Mechanical Design Technologist in our Saskatoon office, with a focus on Buildings and Infrastructure design. In this position, you will participate in the design and drafting of mechanical systems for buildings as well as process mechanical infrastructure projects for both private and public sector clients. You will work on a variety of commercial, municipal, industrial, and infrastructure projects. You will lead and support other members of our team while contributing to diverse projects in a collaborative team environment.
As part of the Saskatoon Water Division, you will report to the Manager of the Mechanical within the SK-MB Operation.
Job Requirements:
What you will bring to the table:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, or other related discipline, from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Strong attention to detail
- Committed team player
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to work independently
- Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Experience working in the field is an asset
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit is an asset
- Possess a valid class 5 driver's license
- Available to travel on occasion
