We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Residential Estimator to join our team. As a Residential Estimator, you will be responsible for evaluating and estimating additional damages or costs that arise during the repair or construction process of residential properties. Your expertise in assessing hidden damages, identifying scope changes, and accurately calculating supplemental costs will play a crucial role in ensuring fair and accurate insurance claim settlements.

Training Period:

· The first are considered your training period and your first will be considered probationary.

Job Requirements:

· Review initial repair estimates and assess the scope of work for residential roofing projects.

· Collaborate with sales team, project managers, current estimator and other stakeholders to understand the revised scope of work and necessary repairs.

· Assist with pricing information for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors to prepare accurate supplemental estimates.

· Calculate and document the additional costs associated with the revised scope of work, considering factors such as labor hours, material quantities, and market rates.

· Assist with supplemental estimates, including a breakdown of costs, and supporting documentation, to be submitted to insurance companies for approval.

· Coordinate with insurance adjusters and claims representatives to provide explanations and justifications for supplemental estimates.

· Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and best practices to ensure accurate assessments and compliance with regulations.

· Maintain accurate records and documentation of all supplemental estimating activities and communications related to the claims process.

· Communicate effectively with Homeowner on the update of what you are supplementing for if, and or, when it is approved

· Work alongside Sales manager and Controller on properly invoicing deals in Acculynx

· Attend weekly meetings regarding the state of invoicing with Sales Manager and Controller and have a report ready to review at the Sales Meeting on Monday

· Work alongside other estimator and properly collaborate to have a healthy workflow process

· Assist in keeping all data updated, specifically certificate of completions (COC’s) and RCV/ACV totals

Responsibilities & Expectations:

· Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred, not required.

· Proven work experience as an Estimator, Supplemental Estimator, or in a similar role within the construction or insurance industry

· Strong knowledge of residential construction practices, building codes, and materials.

· Communicate effectively with customers, sales, insurance companies, and vendors.

· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify hidden damages, assess scope changes, and calculate accurate supplemental costs.

· Perform necessary administrative tasks.

· Familiarity with estimating software and tools, as well as proficiency in using spreadsheets and databases.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

· Ability to negotiate and present supplemental estimates to insurance companies in a clear and persuasive manner.

· Understanding of insurance policies and claims processes, including the ability to interpret policy language and coverage limits.

· Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while adhering to established guidelines and procedures.

· MS office suite; strong emphasis in Excel

· Xactimate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Construction Industry: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
