Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to lead our team at Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport by Marriott. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with proven leadership skills and a track record of driving revenue growth in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to increase room occupancy, average daily rates, food and beverage sales, and banquet revenue.
Build strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners to promote hotel services.
Negotiate and finalize group bookings, conferences, and event contracts.
Identify new business opportunities and maximize revenue from existing accounts.
Assist in preparing the departmental budget, including the hotel’s marketing plan, and ensure all personal and team sales goals are met.
Monitor expenses and revenue performance against budget.
Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze trends and adjust strategies to increase market share.
Collaborate with local community leaders to maintain high-profile exposure for the hotel.
Oversee the development of marketing campaigns and content to enhance hotel visibility across various platforms.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demand to optimize RevPAR growth.
Manage and maintain the hotel's social media presence and content creation.
Organize special events and sales blitzes to showcase the hotel to potential clients.
Attend trade shows and key market events to promote the hotel and secure new business opportunities.
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and collective goals.
Ensure all team members complete required brand training.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, enhancing cross-departmental communication and guest satisfaction.
Address customer feedback and proactively resolve issues to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in hotel sales and marketing, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of hospitality industry dynamics.
Excellent communication, analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency with systems like Lightspeed, One Yield, MGS, Marriott sales systems, and Cvent.
Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing tools.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday (schedule may vary based on hotel needs, including weekends and holidays).
