Title: Senior Sales Manager
Location: San Jose, CA
Salary: $96,000-$144,000 Base; $192,000-$288,000 OTE
Requirements:
- 5-7+ Years of Experience Selling Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Solutions
- Enterprise Sales Experience
We are a well-established and growing cybersecurity company. The Sr. Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales of our AI-driven MDR delivery platform (powered by Google Chronicle SecOps). They will lead and drive sales in the Bay Area through business development, customer relationship management, and market analysis. They will lead our sales efforts, developing strategic relationships, and achieving revenue targets. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.
This is a full time, permanent position onsite in San Jose, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the MDR market segment.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand our customer base and increase market.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert advice and solutions to address their cybersecurity challenges.
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand clients' pain points and tailor MDR solutions to meet their specific requirements. Effectively communicate the value proposition of our services and differentiate us from competitors.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments related to MDR services. Use market insights to refine sales strategies and identify opportunities for growth.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, track progress against targets, and prepare regular reports for senior management. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and operations to align sales efforts with company objectives. Provide feedback and insights to inform product roadmap and marketing campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
- 5-7+ years of experience selling MDR services.
- Experience in enterprise sales.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and technologies, particularly in threat detection and incident response.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Extensive experience in developing and executing sales strategies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for driving business growth.
Bonus If You Have:
- Master's degree in business administration or related field.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
- Experience working with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales enablement tools.
- Established network of contacts within the cybersecurity industry.
