Summary
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for bringing in new clients and building relationships within the assigned territory of: Oregon, Washington, Alaska
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Identify, target, and pursue new business opportunities in assigned territory/region to drive sales growth across our target markets (Middle Schools, High Schools, Adult Education, Community/Junior Colleges, Universities, and Industry, Military and Correctional Institutes).
· Meet potential clients and develop relationships and partnerships to bring in more new business.
· Manage, cultivate, and grow existing customer accounts and relationships within the assigned territory.
· Cold calling in person and over the phone to uncover new business.
· Attend regional conferences, advisory meetings, customer events, and manufacturer events to generate new leads.
· Convert leads into new business.
· Define and execute a sales and marketing strategy for each market in the region, aligned to Klein’s strategy and growth goals, while adjusting where needed based on trends.
· Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients while consistently seeking opportunities to expand Klein’s client base.
· Lead sales negotiations and successfully close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
· Develop an in-depth understanding of the products and solutions Klein offers to effectively communicate learning and training solutions to potential clients.
· Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to continually refine and adjust sales tactics.
· Participate in the training events held by our equipment partners.
· Maintain positive working relationships with clients to represent Klein well.
· Using CRM to document all communication with clients and manage customer files.
· Maintain a high level of contact with clients and manufacturers and always maintain professional communication and appearance during work hours.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Will be responsible for the supervision of 1 Sales Associate in this territory.

Education and/or Experience
· 5+ years of demonstrated success in outside Sales/business development experience required; must have previous experience selling in the education and industrial learning industries
· Experience selling in Oregon, Washington, Alaska region required.
· Must be willing to cold call and hunt for business on a daily basis with strong skills in building relationships with clients.
· Strong customer service and follow up skills, including maintaining a professional, courteous attitude with manufacturers, vendors, team members and clients at all times.
· Self-motivated individual with good problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic.
· Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks, document progress, and complete them under time constraints.
- Must be results and detail oriented, while thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently but operate in a team environment.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- Must be willing to consent to a background check and drug screen post acceptance
- Willingness to travel across the territory; 3 days per week with overnight travel expected 25%+ of the time.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following software and tools:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook
- CRM experience

Noise of any level is not a regular part of the job. The role requires frequent driving and flying across the region; up to 60% local and 25% overnight per month.
