Director of Sales Operations & Sales Support

SO, WHAT'S THE STORY?


You are an experienced sales operations and sales support management leader and enjoy aiding our sales team, customers and wholesales partners. Together with our Sales team and acting in close partnership with our VP of Sales, you will play an integral role in building the tools needed to drive our continued growth. You enjoy leading a dynamic team and don’t mind rolling up your sleeves to get the job done. You get the Dr. Martens brand and are excited to support the team in enhancing Dr. Martens’ footprint in the Americas region.


THE GIG


  • Leading and managing the sales ops and sales support teams to ensure sales ops and sales support excellence for the America’s region
  • Cultivating and inspiring the sales ops and support teams to operate with the DM4 mindset in short and long term business executions
  • Owning and managing the sales ops strategies for the US sales B2B organization, managing, updating policies, procedures, rule of B2B business model
  • Strong cross functional team leader for sales leadership, reps, support, planning teams to create best tools for sales team success
  • Collaborating with warehouse, operations, and sales team to develop and execute our outbound strategy to achieve monthly and annual sales targets and goals
  • Maintaining a strong working knowledge of our wholesale accounts while partnering with our Sales team to execute and deliver account strategies.
  • Identifying, creating and managing tools that optimize the sales and GTM process.
  • Together with the VP of Sales, executing and managing MAP policies, T&C’s, and all other contracts and agreements.
  • Working in close partnerships with all sales functions, finance to manage B2B inventory including ATS allocation and inventory liquidation, while ensuring decisions are aligned with the strategic direction of the brand.
  • Leading, inspiring, developing and growing the Support and Consumer team to deliver best in operations and support in a way that aligns with our brand values.
  • Partnering with Sales, Operations, Credit, and wholesale customers to identify and implement value-add, floor-ready services and premium supply chain distribution methods.
  • Ensuring wholesale retail partners are aligning with current Dr. Marten’s operational processes and meet all industry guidelines.
  • Developing people and processes (ie. Compliance, SOP, Guidelines and Procedures) in a platform to create success within the team and organization that provides insights and recommendations for business systems and processes
  • Generating, analyzing, and interpreting reports along with providing ad-hoc reporting to the sales team and partners as needed


THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART

  • Bachelors’ degree or some college and equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of Sales Operations, Sales Support expertise preferably in the wholesale, retail, apparel, fashion, or footwear industry.
  • Strong knowledge of vendor management programs, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with specific experience and effectiveness interacting with cross functional teams
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications including ability to create reports with database and/or spreadsheets
  • Strong and proven leadership skills; the ability to positively influence diverse teams to enhance vendor management and effect change
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data and develop creative and innovative solutions in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to be detail oriented and accomplish assignments simultaneously with time management
  • International/domestic travel required, up to 20% of travel.
  • Ability to work at a standard computer set up 40+ hours per week.
