Position Purpose:

Manage all sales activities within the assigned territory to actively promote and sell to a direct customer base Guidant Measurement products, parts and service as well as any and all distributed products within the territory.

To manage and understand, develop and maintain customer relationships as they relate to the products and services provided out of the operation.

To establish and maintain personal and direct reports performance objectives to increase revenues in the territory while maintaining quality standards, productivity, and profitability through performance goals of the department set by the Company.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technical and disciplinary management of a sales team defined by regions (direct reports of usually 3 or more area sales managers for the individual regions)
  • Coordination of sales activities in the regions located in Mid-Con.
  • Develop and execute strategies to win business in existing markets, drive profitable growth and expand market share while developing a high performing team capable of understanding the market and customer needs.
  • Promotes and sells technical and/or nontechnical products, brands and/or services and solutions.
  • Develops new accounts and/or expands existing accounts. Ensures that the organization's sales initiatives are fully compliant with applicable regulations, contracts, and all company policies.
  • Responsible and accountable for the Budget, Forecast and Actual Inbound opportunities initiated within their assigned region/ area.
  • Responsibility for and increase in sales volume and implementation of the growth strategy in your region


MAIN TASKS:

  • Provide strategic and tactical sales direction.
  • Results-oriented use of the resources provided (budget and personnel) and continuous monitoring of success.
  • Proactive identification, control and monitoring of business developments in your region, incl. identification of new target markets and potentials.
  • Create customer need based narratives and differentiated value propositions for solutions to support the new customer acquisition, upsell and retention goals of the organization.
  • Management of service sales projects in close cooperation with Inside Sales, Aftermarket and Global Sales.
  • Tracking market trends, competitive activities and customer requirements to provide impetus for marketing strategies and strategic corporate development.
  • Negotiate prices or terms of sales or service agreements.
  • Continuous optimization and further development of sales processes and structures in cooperation with global sales management.
  • Representing Guidant at customers, service providers, training courses, specialist congresses and trade fairs.
  • Responsibility for annual reviews, target agreements, performance appraisals and employee development; significant involvement in the recruitment of new employees in the region, e.g. accomplishes regional sales human resource objectives by participating in recruiting, selecting, orienting, training (internal, external, hands-on), assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by leading and coaching sales representatives.
  • Reporting on regional sales activities, manage and share monthly forecasted opportunity lists.
  • Actively integrate value proposition and competitive differentiation into all market facing touch points.
  • Responsible for articulating all of the outbound tasks necessary to clearly explain the benefits of those features and translate them into customer-facing messages. Tasked with giving product demonstrations at trade shows and webinars, delivering presentations to customers and prospects, and creating marketing collateral. Owns the task of defining the product for market understanding.
  • Responsible for bringing the product to market and driving adoption of it. This includes arming sales with the knowledge and tools they need to be successful; developing customer presentations; providing website content; and outlining marketing programs required for demand generation.
  • Create and implement product launch plans by working with marketing communications, sales, field service and partners to provide internal and external product unique selling points and training based on product value proposition.
  • Provide product training for internal and external customers.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successfully completed degree (Bachelor or Master of Arts/Science) in engineering, business administration, marketing or another comparable course of study
  • At least 5 years of professional and leadership experience in a comparable position.
  • Excellent leadership skills, high resilience and the ability to positively accompany change.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the branch of energy, oil and/ or Gas and experienced with measurement technology.
  • Solid understanding of financial factors such as costs, margins, and profit impact of decisions.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to evaluate potential and results.
  • Outstanding communication skills that enable you to build a trusting business relationship with a wide range of target groups and inspire others.
  • Possess effective leadership and communication ability within a team environment.
  • MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) / experience in using an ERP system.
  • Customer and results-oriented and have strong negotiating skills.
  • Ability to motivate.
  • Valid driver’s license.
