Sales Associate- Retirement
JOB SUMMARY

The primary objective of the sales associate is to co-ordinate and assist in all aspects of sales/leasing, while maintaining the confidentiality of information relating to resident families, colleagues, the community’s operations, financial arrangements and results. The sales associate will conduct tours, calls, and manage information in the CRM with respect to new prospective residents and their families.
Job duties
Here are some (but not all) of the main activities and tasks that the Marketing and Sales Manager will have to perform, and some of the physical demands they involve:
· Will, in conjunction with the General Manager, develop, implement and maintain annual marketing strategies and budgets
· Coordinate and implement media plans and other advertising strategies.
· Source prospective residents, create and maintain a client database.
· Conduct tours both scheduled and walk-in.
· Respond to any phone inquires
· Assists in coordinating and attending internal special events when promoting to the community at large to establish contacts.
· Prepares and maintains mailing lists of professional and community contacts for use in direct mail or special events.
· Monitors and sources information regarding changes in the marketplace, (e.g. – demographics, competition, housing demands, statistics, etc.)
· Maintains sales and marketing data as well as prepares sales and marketing reports as required.
· Prepares and maintains mailing lists of professional and community contacts for use in direct mails or special events
· Liaise with the other Depts. in coordinating all marketing and advertising for the assigned building
· Communicate formally with Operations about any issues that may arise from time to time that influence sales and marketing performance
· Ensure that all sales leads from the web site or other sources are handled promptly and correctly
· Participate in the planning, set up and staffing of the various trade shows relevant to the senior housing industry
· Participates in workplace assessments, inspections and audits when required to do so
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ related experience, preferably in sales or customer service.
- Must have a high degree of interpersonal skill which would enable the incumbent to deal successfully with clients, community and agency contacts;
- Knowledge of business equipment and computer applications, such as MS Office, Yardi, CRM, etc.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and French preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Crouching, kneeling, stooping/bending for short periods of time – minor job function.
- Walking, climbing stairs
- Long periods of visual attention to figures and documents.
- Required to meet deadlines and manage many competing priorities.
- Repetitive hand motion, keyboarding/writing up to a 4 hour maximum – major function.
- Being able to multi-task and manage frequent interruptions.
