Here’s where you come in:
We are currently seeking a Team Leader to join our Personal Lines Insurance team. The Team Leader oversees a team of 2 or more service staff in servicing the day-to-day and renewal insurance needs of a diverse group of clients with focus on achieving corporate retention expectations. Will be responsible for developing and supporting team members, creating a climate where employees are motivated to succeed. Will take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. Will lead by example in areas of excellent client service, adoption of company policies, procedures and workflows, champion technology systems, and professional growth by means of continually seeking educational opportunities. May also work on an assigned book of business. Size of book may be flexible dependent on the size of the Team Leader’s team and additional tasks.

Other responsibilities of the Team Lead role include:
Act as a ‘Champion’ of the Broker Management System, Standard Operating Procedures, and Broker Standards

Audit staff to ensure all direct reports adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Broker Standards

Run reports in the Broker Management System as needed.

Monitor daily attendance and approve electronic time records of service team members.

Coordinate and approve vacation and other time off to ensure adequate staffing during regular business hours.

Organize team meetings with agenda established jointly with management.

Bring forward team members concerns to management.

Handle client service escalations and bring forward to management as needed.

Evaluate staff performance through annual review cycle and coach employees toward success in meeting their Key Performance Indicators and developmental goals.

Participate in new service team member hiring and be responsible for completion of training.

Maintain awareness of current insurance laws, carrier guidelines, and market conditions

Ensure quality service is provided to clients on a timely and consistent basis by team members.

Provide team with continuous training for any changes to systems, workflow, and procedures

You’re great at:
Ideally, you’ll be well versed in customer service, marketing training and development, with excellent verbal and written communications.

Six or more years insurance brokerage or property casualty insurance experience in account management role preferred.

Demonstrated proficiency in training others.

Effective mentoring abilities, fostering teamwork.

Ability to exercise independent judgement and assume accountability.

Exceptional customer service skills

Strong reading comprehension and analysis skills
