Job Overview:
The Membership Sales Associate is responsible for driving the growth of the private golf club's membership through sales strategies, relationship building, and exceptional customer service. This individual will be the face of the club for prospective members, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience throughout the membership process. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for golf, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales or hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation:
- Identify and pursue potential new members through various sales channels including referrals, networking, events, and online inquiries.
- Develop a robust pipeline of prospective members by actively reaching out to local businesses, communities, and influencers.
- Sales Presentations:
- Conduct personalized tours of the club, showcasing the golf course, amenities, and exclusive membership benefits.
- Provide comprehensive membership information, including pricing, benefits, and application requirements.
- Tailor membership packages to meet the specific needs of individuals and families.
- Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective members throughout the decision-making process.
- Engage with current members to obtain referrals and deepen their connection to the club.
- Serve as a brand ambassador by participating in community events, social gatherings, and golf tournaments.
- Closing Sales:
- Handle all necessary paperwork for new memberships.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new members, including coordination with relevant departments (golf, dining, events, etc.).
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual membership sales targets.
- Membership Retention:
- Collaborate with the Member Services team to ensure member satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in a hospitality, luxury, or private club environment (Experience in the golf industry preferred).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in relationship-driven sales, with an ability to build rapport quickly.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge and passion for golf and the private club industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other sales tools.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Other Requirements:
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
