GENERAL DESCRIPTION

ThinkGrow is commercial and industrial lighting fixtures manufacturer committed to creating high-quality, affordable, well-designed and energy-efficient LED lighting that make it easy for distributors to sell, electricians to install, and end-users to save energy. This well-established Sales Account Manager (East/West Coast) to play a critical, leading role in our fast-growing, non-traditional, technology company. Our Sales Manager is responsible for increasing sales and addressing customer needs within their territory. The Sales Manager responsibilities include presenting our products and services to potential clients, identifying specific consumer characteristics and recommending ways to promote and sell our products.


To be successful in this role, will exceed sales targets and establish solid long-term customer relationships with some exposure and knowledge of the horticultural technology. You will assist us with growing our customer base and establish our reputation in your assigned region.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • You will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives
  • Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers within assigned territory
  • Manage and collaborate with local internal and external partners to meet individual and group sales quotas
  • You will obtain customers, maintain relationships with current ones, and building our brand in the lighting world
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Report on regional sales results (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually)
  • Present our products and services to prospective customers
  • Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions
  • Participates in educational opportunities; reads professional publications; maintains personal networks
  • Prepares competitive quotes and close sales
  • Initiate accurate sales forecasts that provide information to management of each customers potential revenue within the sales cycle
  • Plan and prioritize territory sales activities to achieve agreed upon goals
  • Cross-sell products, when appropriate
  • Collaborate with sales representatives from different territories to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approach
  • Attend and participate in Company sponsored trade shows
  • Ability to design and effectively implement both short-term and long-term business strategies

In addition to these duties the candidate will possess the following abilities:


  • Solid strategic planning and execution skills
  • Self-directed, ability to produce results independently
  • Proven ability to exercise good judgement and discretion
  • Must have knowledge of how to use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and digital advertising outlets a plus.
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 60% with some overnight stay

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent work-related experience in a business related field
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, highly desired
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office suites
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills related to people and inventory
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must have a clean MVR and process a Driver’s License

While performing the duties of this job, an employee will be required to bend, stoop, kneel, climb 1 story of stairs, utilize step stools, and reach for parts. Employee will be required to operate hand controls, use their hands and fingers to grip with pressure, twist and while rotating or bending at the wrist, and keep their fingers or wrist in prolong positions of flexion or extension. Standing up to 8+ hours per shift and sitting may be required for long periods of time. All of these physical requirements may be repeated often, throughout the day. Employees will be required and to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently and to lift or maneuver up to 100 pounds, with assistance, if needed. Frequently use safety equipment such as a hard hat and safety vest; work in areas not well ventilated such as utility vaults; work outdoors or work on uneven ground or floor spaces. Must be able to work in all weather conditions; will infrequently be required to work around disagreeable odors or fumes and outdoors in cold below 55 degrees Fahrenheit. The employee may be required to work alone, in heat over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, around moving vehicles, with step stools or ladders, dust greater than a nuisance, chemicals such as Styrofoam, glue or solvents. May be required to work weekends, any day of the week both night and day as needed. Available for after hour emergency response.
