Salary Range: $20 - $26

Position Overview:
In the role of Manager, RCM Accounts, you will be part of a team of dynamic leaders at Coronis Health, LLC, a company dedicated to the successful revenue management of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). The Account Manager is a key leader within our Revenue Cycle Team, responsible for maximizing medical services payment collections from individual clients, vendors, and providers. Success in this role will be measured, in part, by reduced claims denials and increased reimbursements.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between billing clients and the Operations Team, ensuring efficient information exchange.
- Receive and enter charges and payments according to client-specific expectations.
- Interface daily with internal departments on billing issues that cannot be resolved independently.
- Respond to client inquiries and concerns, including reporting requests, financial questions, and patient account reviews.
- Address quality concerns or errors identified by the Operations/Support Teams.
- Escalate recurring issues or errors to the Operations & Support Supervisor.
- Monitor the progression of charges and payments, keeping up with client stats through ongoing communication, training, and supervision.
- Oversee all denied claims, acting as a liaison between clients and the Operations Team to identify avoidable trends.
- Maintain weekly conference call logs between Coronis and client management to address unresolved operational issues.
- Work with the Operations Team and billing clients to meet monthly close goals by the 5th business day.
- Prepare month-end reports, enter financial and accounts receivable data into multiple spreadsheets, and resolve aging accounts receivable issues.
- Participate in monthly WebEx presentations led by the Coronis Revenue Cycle Director, taking notes and following up as needed.
- Assist the Revenue Cycle Director with monthly presentations by providing insights into successes and challenges.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Serve as a resource for team members, assisting in new hire training.
- Oversee other accounts within the team, providing support in resolving AR issues and meeting team goals.
- Provide back-up to accounts during PTO and leave periods.
- Develop expertise in multiple PM systems.
- Identify areas for improved processes, workload distribution, and efficiency with guidance from the Team Lead.
- Offer additional support to the Team Lead as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Provide limited supervision to the Operations, Account Associates, and RCM Support staff, including motivation, direction, and feedback on tasks.
- Oversee work assignments and performance development.
- Report directly to the specific Team Lead.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with HIPAA policies, practices, and procedures.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Lead by example, sharing knowledge and skills to support team success.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain and document rules, procedures, and instructions for each billing client across various roles (Account Manager tasks, Support staff tasks, Operations staff tasks, and client policies).
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and 3+ years of experience in healthcare billing and direct client interaction required (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Medical Billing (and/or Coding) Certificate preferred.
Demonstrated Qualifications:
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication with clients and operations team members.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with clients, operations, and internal staff.
- Skill in managing processes, including resolving exceptions with minimal backlog.
- Consistently meets AR targets or demonstrates the ability to address stressors independently.
- Minimal adverse account incidents (e.g., credits, client escalations, major rework projects).
- Ability to prioritize work and client needs effectively and manage increased responsibilities.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills for concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple competing projects.
- Proficiency in intermediate math, keyboarding, and Windows Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of medical billing software; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
