Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities through outbound calling and market research. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Industry Knowledge: Look for candidates who have a solid understanding of the home improvement appliance industry, including trends, market dynamics, and competitor analysis. Experience working with lighting and kitchen appliance products would be particularly beneficial.
  • Sales and Negotiation Skills: A strong business development professional should have excellent sales and negotiation skills to drive revenue growth and establish partnerships with suppliers, distributors, and retailers. They should be able to effectively pitch products, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Strategic Thinking: Seek candidates who can develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share. They should be able to identify growth opportunities, develop pricing strategies, and analyze market data to inform decision-making.
  • Relationship Building: Look for individuals who excel at building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, retailers, and potential customers. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively are essential for cultivating successful partnerships.
  • Analytical Skills: A business development role requires analyzing market trends, sales data, and financial metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement. Look for candidates with strong analytical skills who can make data-driven decisions and measure the success of business development initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Seek candidates who demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and are proactive, innovative, and resourceful in pursuing business opportunities and overcoming challenges. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be willing to take calculated risks to drive growth.
  • Project Management Skills: Business development initiatives often involve coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Look for candidates with strong project management skills who can effectively prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-centric approach is crucial for success in business development. Look for candidates who are passionate about understanding customer needs and delivering value-added solutions that enhance the customer experience.
  • Education and Experience: While formal education requirements may vary, candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, along with relevant experience in business development, sales, or marketing, would be ideal. Previous experience in the home improvement appliance industry or a related field would be a plus.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Finally, look for candidates who are adaptable and flexible, able to quickly pivot strategies in response to changing market conditions or business priorities. They should be open to feedback and willing to continuously learn and evolve in their role.

Experience:
- Proven experience in sales or telemarketing, preferably in technology sales or software industry
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus
- Customer service experience is a plus
- Inside sales experience is a plus
