Position Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining exemplary relationships with customers through all facets of customer service on all assigned events. This position will work very closely with colleagues within the organization and other contractors within the Tradeshow Convention and Special Event Industry, with an ability to adapt to different events and their specific needs and styles.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times
- Communicate with customers through various channels including phone, email, fax and in person, responding promptly to any customer inquiries
- Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints
- Know our services inside and out so questions can be answered promptly and professionally
- Process electrical orders, forms and requests, including invoicing and collections for services rendered via computer
- Compile accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, comments and complaints
- Communicate and coordinate with colleagues as necessary
- Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service and operations process
- Attend all meetings for all assigned events
- Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support
- Attend classes/seminars to further education in customer service and leadership
- Provide assistance to coworkers on assigned events that may need additional Account Managers
- Achieve 90% satisfaction rate on all assigned events through facility surveys
- Follow all safety rules and regulations and report any unsafe activity or practice
- Exemplify, promote and foster our purpose of Committed to Excellence through our Core Values of Customers, Employees, Character and Mastery
- All other duties as assigned and required
Required Qualifications:
- Tradeshow, Convention and Special Event experience preferred but not required
- Self-Starter, who can work independently
- Computer experience including MS Office, and order entry.
- Ability to work with people and communicate effectively in high stress situations
- Able to work nights and weekends as needed for assigned events
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of five years' experience in the Customer Service Industry
