CERTEX USA is seeking an experience, motivated individual to join our team as an Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative in the Bakersfield, California area.

JobSummary

As an Inside Industrial Sales/Customer Service Representative, you will assess needs, produce quotes and proposals, prepare contracts, and ensure customer satisfaction. To help ensure success you must keep up to date on products and equipment, through regular communication with vendors and manufacturers.

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.
  • Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services.
  • Welcomes walk in customers.
  • Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns.
  • Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Administration skills needed.

Education and Experience

  • Customer Service 2 years (required)
  • Associate degree (Preferred)
  • Minimum of two years of successful selling experience, with strong emphasis on Industrial/commercial sales.
  • Must be persistent, energetic, and entrepreneurial
  • Prior experience in the construction, equipment or material handling is preferred
  • PC proficiency.

Physical Requirements

  • Sit for an hour or more, speak, hear, stand, walk, stoop, squat, bend and/or kneel.
  • Verbally communicate detailed information to others either by phone or in person.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Required to use hands with substantial movement (motions) of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading.

Pay rate and Provisions:

  • CERTEX will provide procedures and training
  • Starting pay is $20-$24 per hour (depending on experience)
