The Director of Sales will carry out the sales efforts of the hotel by soliciting business across all market segments to maximize the overall positioning of the hotel and to meet and/or exceed budgeted revenue, market share and other goals in room, group, meetings and banquets.
Duties of the Director of Sales include:

  • Prospect and solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
  • Creatively manages all aspects of the sales and marketing efforts for hotel. Provide the strategic vision for maximum hotel sales generation and optimal revenue growth.
  • Promptly prepares correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance/database entry.
  • Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company`s ambitious growth.
  • Achievement of stringent targets, the job holder will be required to adopt a professional and knowledgeable approach to each new business call.
  • Fosters a positive and sales focused team attitude to all departments and maintains open communications with all team members and brand representatives for the best overall performance of the hotel.

Requirements of the Role:

  • Experience in working with senior management to align sales strategies and solutions
  • Must have experience of working in a corporate/business focused environment
  • Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads at both hotel level and organizational level
  • Must have experience of successfully developing, implementing and benefitting from organizational sales strategies
  • Established history of achieving sales goals

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Management, Economics, Marketing, or other business-related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a management or leadership role (hospitality, retail, food service preferred), Desired candidate would have 3-4 years’ work experience in a hospitality sales experience.

Pay: $67,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
