Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaning Manager to oversee the cleaning and maintenance operations for a 650,000 square foot facility that includes office spaces, dormitories, and classrooms. This role involves managing a team of 30+ cleaning staff to ensure that all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, promoting a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead, train, and supervise a team of over 30 cleaning staff, including scheduling, delegating tasks, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Quality Control: Establish and maintain cleaning standards across all areas, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to guarantee service quality.
  • Operational Planning: Develop and implement cleaning schedules and routines to cover the needs of various spaces, including office areas, dorms, and classrooms, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Inventory and Supplies Management: Oversee ordering, tracking, and inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure that staff have the necessary materials to perform their duties effectively.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training for staff on cleaning methods, safety protocols, and customer service to ensure they are equipped to handle their roles effectively.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, implementing best practices to minimize risks to both employees and facility occupants.
  • Budget Management: Assist in budget development and manage expenditures, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maintaining high cleaning standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a cleaning or facility management environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and industry-standard practices.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a large team and interact with facility occupants.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in cleaning management, facility management, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
