ABOUT US

As Australia’s leading safety footwear brand, Steel Blue are experiencing continued growth in the USA and as such, are seeking an experienced Territory Manager to join our sales team to support our sales operations across North America.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, the role will support our growing sales team across the Mid West region and will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, building strong customer relationships and driving sales across the territory. Responsibilities will include:

  • Educate, promote, train and service channel distribution partners and key end user relationships.
  • Manage and develop the designated sales territory within the Midwest region, including identifying and prioritizing target and aspirational accounts
  • Coordinate and follow up end user trials within sales territory including channel partner sales teams
  • Develop a deep understanding of Steel Blue's product offerings and effectively communicate their features and benefits to customers.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions within the Mid West
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for management.
  • Represent Steel Blue at regional tradeshows and events.
  • Supporting distribution partners conducting on-site end user boot fittings
  • Continuously enhance your product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry expertise through training and development opportunities provided by Steel Blue.
  • Attend regular meetings with VP of Sales – Americas on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Provide market intelligence of market trends.
  • Utilize the Steel Blue’s CRM system effectively including the input of contacts, leads, and sales opportunities.

The position demands frequent travel, and you will be expected to strategically plan your working week and coordinate with the team to maximize the impact of your customer visits. For success in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Previous sales background with demonstrated experience across industrial and footwear, workwear, or related sectors.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of forging and maintaining strong relationships.
  • A results-driven, pro-active mindset, self-motivation, and the capability to function both independently and as an integral part of a team.
  • Superior organizational talents, including the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
