Position Summary
The Sales Director will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing the sales team, and developing strategic partnerships in the packaging industry. This role requires a seasoned sales professional with deep industry knowledge, a proven track record in leading high-performing teams, and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies to expand our market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive market expansion.
- Lead, manage, and mentor the sales team, setting clear goals and providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Identify new business opportunities in target markets, such as retail, food & beverage, healthcare, and e-commerce.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster long-term business relationships.
- Oversee the negotiation and closing of major deals, ensuring alignment with company goals and client needs.
- Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by working closely with the customer service and product development teams to meet client requirements.
- Business Development:
- Identify and explore new market segments and growth opportunities to increase the company’s footprint in the packaging industry.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
- Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and retain top sales talent to ensure the team’s growth and success.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the team to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Financial & Sales Reporting:
- Develop accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics, reporting regularly to the executive team.
- Analyze sales data and performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years of sales experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role in the packaging or related industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving growth in a competitive market.
- Experience working with large-scale manufacturers, distributors, and retailers is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on mentoring and developing talent.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and industry trends.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Pay: $100,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
