The Service Valet Porter is a vital employee, they assist customers and personnel in ensuring the customer is taken care of from start to finish. This is a fast-paced position in a busy service environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Devotion to ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Determine management, production, and quality requirements by asking questions and listening.
- Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow through with assigned projects.
- Establish personal performance goals that are consistent with company standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
- Understand the terminology of the business and keep abreast of technology changes in products and services.
- Know and understand the federal, state, and local requirements which govern the company’s business.
- Follow directions from supervisors.
- Understand and follow company rules and procedures.
- Maintain honest and accurate time-card keeping.
- Work together with department managers to establish and maintain an effective and proficient service department with excellent customer satisfaction.
- Be available to aid coworkers as appropriate if they have having trouble completing service work.
- Adhere to procedures for timely and proficient dealing of warranty items such as correct storage and labeling.
- Become familiar and proficient with all phases of the computer software needed for parts and service management, developing, and maintaining the skills required.
- Interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale.
- Uphold the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule when required.
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
- Vacuum interior and wash exterior of vehicles.
- Keep vehicles on lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards.
- Return vehicle keys to the appropriate service or sales consultant.
- Maintains building and grounds as needed.
- Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license, with clean driving record.
- Customer service skills.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Communication skills.
- Ability to meet company's production and quality standards.
- May need to life over 45 lbs.
