The Sales Specialist at American Industrial Services be responsible for building a high-performance sales culture that delivers goal exceeding achievement, while simultaneously building processes and driving improvement. We specialize in installing, providing maintenance for, and conducting repairs of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This position requires excellent communication skills and a proven track record in sales and account management. This role will be specific to the Piedmont Triad, NC area.
This is pivotal position within our company to build the foundation of our sales team and explode the growth of American Industrial. We are looking for someone who is a go getter and isn’t afraid of jumping in!
Responsibilities:
- Execute sales strategies and goals to generate business and meet or exceed sales targets for commercial and industrial markets
- Identify and engage prospective clients through various channels, including cold calling, referrals, networking, and industry associations
- Develop long term relationships with new and existing customers (owner, facility manager, project manager, project engineer, purchasing, etc.) to facilitate sales success and effective account management
- Utilize sales and account management processes - perform sales interviews with prospective clients to determine client needs and qualify sales opportunities
- Prepare solutions estimates, proposals, and presentations
- Survey and appraise mechanical systems (including HVAC and Building Automation Systems)
- Manage proposals to close sales
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring beneficial terms and profitable margins
- Maintain an active backlog of proposals (Service Agreements, Quoted Repairs, and Projects) to guarantee your annual booking goal is consistently met
- Choose, develop, and implement a CRM
- Achieve annual sales targets necessary to grow the business within your assigned market
- Provide management with required sales reporting
- Continuous process improvement for sales functions
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of Commercial/Industrial HVAC Sales experience
- Strong knowledge of applied HVAC equipment systems, Building Automation Systems, and associated support services
- Ability to use CRM software, sales tracking tools, and Microsoft Office software.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong business decision-making skills with a solid financial acumen
- Solid problem solving and proven negotiating skills
- High sense of urgency
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Willingness to travel as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
