Applications Sales Engineer

LACO Technologies is seeking and experienced Mechanical Engineer to work in our sales department. This position is a hands-on, customer-facing, technical sales role to help our customers improve their products to shape the future.

In the role of Application Engineer, you will:

• work with customers to understand their requirements.
• explain how our technology can address their most challenging requirements.
• perform testing in our lab on customer sample parts.
• provide remote and in-person technical demonstrations.
• provide post-sale customer technical support.

Requirements:

Skills Required

• Hands-on engineering experience – understand requirements and solve problems.
• Technical aptitude
• Customer relationship skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Proficient at SolidWorks, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Vacuum and Leak Testing knowledge and experience a plus.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• 1-3 years’ experience in customer-facing engineering

Job Details

• Estimated Salary + Commission: $76,000 to $90,000 (based on experience)
• Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
• Flexible work schedule with the opportunity to participate in our 9/80 work schedule.
• Travel: Occasional short term (one week or less) travel a few times per year
