Job Summary
Established freight brokerage seeking to add a customer service representative to support one of our core clients. The position will focus on supporting the operations team that handles a large national account by way of scheduling all pickups and deliveries, updating their system, tracking and tracing drivers, working with carrier dispatch and other various customer service duties.
If you are a detail oriented person that is very comfortable on the phone this position may be a good fit. You must be able to operate as part of a small, fast moving team yet have the ability to make informed decisions quickly and independently without direct instruction is critical.
This position has the opportunity to develop into a Logistics Specialist or Account Management role for the right candidate. We are looking for a career oriented individual looking for a long term home.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities will include:
-Routing and scheduling all pickup and delivery appointments for a large national account
-Communicating with customer, vendors, carriers and receivers to facilitate daily work flow and problem solve various issues that may arise
-Tracking and tracing all pickups and deliveries to make sure shipments are running smoothly
-Following up on pending charges and other operational issues
-Calling trucking companies during down time to build capacity on available lanes
-various other operational duties as required
Qualifications and Skills
Requirements
-Being comfortable spending a lot of time on the phone working with many different parties
-Being both customer service and extremely detail oriented is critical
-Can stay organized and handle a number of different things at the same time
-Phone experience and basic computer skills
-Ability to make intelligent decisions and work without direct instruction
-Strong customer service and communication skills

Pay: $39,000.00 - $39,520.00 per year
