About this Position

The Manager, Business Development, will manage a team of Business Development Representatives that are responsible for developing and qualifying revenue opportunities. They generate new business opportunities to fuel different business units’ pipeline by conducting cold calling and lead nurturing activities. You will play a key role as you lead/manage this highly visible and motivated team that achieves individual, team and organizational quotas. This position reports to Net at Work’s director of sales and works closely with business unit leadership and marketing.

Job Responsibilities
  • Leadership role, managing your team from an office based in the Raleigh-Durham area (post-pandemic).
  • Hire and supervise 6-8 Business Development Reps (BDRs) initially and then regularly add to the team as the business and opportunities dictate.
  • Be responsible for creating and qualifying both inbound and outbound leads.
  • Contribute to the corporate sales strategy while providing definition and implementation of the plan for Sales to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Create cadences to help prioritize time and efforts as well as to increase contact and qualification rates.
  • Help build out / improve the BDR playbook.
  • Develop reps into sales-ready candidates for future account executive or other sales positions.
  • Motivate Individuals and Team to exceed objectives through coaching, regular broadcast of results, and creative incentives.
  • Regularly report on Team/Individual Results - Lead Quantity, Quality, Revenue.
  • Work closely with Marketing on defining Campaign follow-up and reporting.
  • Work closely with Sales Leaders, Practice Directors, and Reps to ensure Lead Quality/Quantity and proper follow-up.

Job Requirements
  • 1+ year of BDR/SDR/Inside Sales management experience mandatory. 5+ years total experience.
  • Highly proficient in applications like Dynamics CRM, Teams, and Excel are necessary.
  • Experience in sales engagement tools (Dynamics Sales Accelerator, Xant, or Salesloft) a plus but not required.
  • Ability to hire and train new sales representatives.
  • Hungry yet humble, and wants to lead by example.
  • Formal training on some branded sales methodology (Sandler, MEDDIC, Selling through Curiosity, etc.) is helpful.
  • Proven record of sales success in a similar enterprise software application environment.
  • Proven experience successfully managing people to achieve performance goals.
  • Can collaborate and influence in a “win as a team” environment.
  • Highly motivated and professional, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $100,000 to $120,000.
This position is also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan.
