Summary:

Working within our Valves group, this position will assist with attracting potential customers while maintaining existing relationships by answering product/service questions and suggesting information about other products/services. This role will assist with project bids and tracking. Opening and maintaining customer accounts by recording account information. Resolving product or service problems by clarifying the customer's issues, determining the cause of the problem, selecting, and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustments, and following up to ensure resolution. Inside Sales Representatives may recommend potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs. Will prepare product and/or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information. Must be quality focused, a problem solver, have excellent telephone and documentation skills, with the ability to resolve conflict and analyze information. The successful candidate must be a good multi-tasker with a high attention to detail. Other duties and projects as assigned.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Processing orders, buying product for orders, modifying stock to meet customer requirements
  • Taking calls and e-mails for customers, summiting quotations, and entering orders into Business Central
  • Working with other inside/outside sales team members to ensure open lines of communication
  • Compile data to complete project bids
  • Periodically meet with customers to build relationships
  • Generate reports as needed and take part in departmental meetings
  • Source and purchase non-stock items to meet customer requirements
  • Active participation in FET’s Health, Safety and Environment program
  • Adhere and follow all company policies and processes.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of customer service techniques in an industrial setting
  • Familiar with order entry software and processes
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Excel knowledge an asset
  • Able to change task or direction while maintaining organization
  • Good organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy a necessity
  • Analytical thinker and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Education

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.

Experience

· 4+ years of Inside Sales experience in a related industry

· Valve knowledge and/or experience considered an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $54,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay

  • Inside sales: 4 years (preferred)
  • Project quotation: 1 year (preferred)
  • Valves: 2 years (required)
