Willow Creek Organic Grain Company Inc. is a dynamic organic food company, with over 15 years in the industry packaging and distributing organic food grains and spices under their own brand in retail stores across Canada.

Willow Creek is currently looking for Marketing & Sales Manager with operations experience. The company head office and offices are located at 244071 Range Road 264, Wheatland County, Alberta located between Calgary and Strathmore.

MARKETING & SALES/OPERATIONS MANAGER

(Calgary Strathmore Facility, 4kms north of #1 hwy on Range rd 264 Wheatland County)

RESPONSIBILITIES;

Only accepting resumes from candidates with strong Marketing & Sales Background of 5 plus years, with possible Food operations experience.

Organic Food Production and Distribution company with over 15 years in the industry and with over 40 skus, listed in grocery stores across Canada is seeking to hire an Marketing & Sales/Operations Manager for our new 32,000 sq. ft. Food Production Facility in the Calgary Strathmore area just south of Lyalta on Range Road #264. This position requires candidate with strong Marketing & Sales experience and will also be trained to oversee plant operations. Successful candidate must come with 5 years in Marketing & Sales and possible management experience.

Main responsibilities as follows:

1.) Oversee Sales & Marketing operations:

a.) Oversee, develop strategies and execute business development efforts for sales and marketing efforts to promote the Company’s brand of 40 plus organic products into retail grocery chains, confectionary, food ingredient buyers and other channels on a national and international basis while achieving sales and profit targets.

b.) Develop short term and long term sales growth strategies to achieve company revenue targets quarterly and annually.

2.) Oversee food manufacturing operations within the new plant. (will train)

Hire, train, delegate, oversee and manage all plant staff as per below:

a.) Production Staff within various positions as per:

ii. Machine operators for grinders, blenders, roasters, automated packaging equipment, semi automated packaging equipment

iii. Food quality assurance personnel, responsible to ensure 100% food quality and packaging quality accuracy in production including overseeing the production, compilation of ingredients and blending of all recipe combination products.

iv. Warehouse and Shipping personnel. Receive incoming packaging and ingredient supplies. Ensure critical inventory placement and storage within specific shelf arrangements within the warehouse. Pick and prepare all outgoing shipments to distributors and direct to store customers.

Oversee operations and marketing and sales budgets.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

1.) Must have at least 5 years in food industry marketing and sales experience.

2.) Excel Program capable: High level of skill with excel programs and formulas to assist with running existing company excel programs, designing additional excel templates, completing various operational analysis with newly created excel sheets, using excel to report Operational efficiencies and numbers to CEO on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.

3.) Human Resources: Must have previous experience in hiring and managing all staff.

Computer savvy : Excellent understanding of various software required to operate computer such as powerpoint, word, email, database, adobe, capability to coordinate and operate ZOOM or other similar meetings, invest in other IT applications knowledge such as whatsapp, skype, and various other internet communications technologies.

4.) Financial Background (negotiable): Capable of preparing FULL funding and budget presentations with respect to equipment, inventories, plant and building to support expansion and company growth. Ability to communicate effectively with funding entities such as banks, government agencies, create access and development of presentations for access to certain government programs that may be available. Having a level of knowledge as a CFO would certainly be an asset but not required.

Opportunity Provided

Work week, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with weekends off.

Base salary commensurate with experience starting from $60,000 to $80,000 or more per annum plus revenue and profit sharing.

Profit share upon realized revenue targets achieved and distributed after 12 months of employment with annual contribution.

Additional revenue sharing percentage to reach and attain competitive base salary for level of professionalism and experience provided.

Home purchase option where company may provide for down payment funding for new home purchase for relocation opportunity dependent upon qualified professional skill level and experience at the Marketing & Sales position.
