Position Summary:
Responsible for planning, developing, and managing all sales and marketing activities necessary to successfully market products and services to customers. Also, responsible for establishing sales territories and goals, collaborate cross functionally to develop product line’s, price management, sales pricing, promotion, staff development, training, and market research. Effectively lead assigned personnel. Functions as a team member within the department and cross-functions, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supervise, lead and mentor associates to include, but not limited to: achieving collective and individual goals, staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
- Identify geographic territory for the street salesforce, operating company (OpCo) assignments for business development team members, and/or large multiunit customers for direct/manager of program sales.
- Create and manage all sales performance metrics, provide regular reports to the executive team, adjusting strategies as needed to meet OpCo annual goals. Attain targeted profit margins as determined by business goals. Increase sales growth with acceptable levels of gross margins as determined by annually and quarterly reviewed business goals. Increase market share for products and services. Demonstrate awareness of customer needs and establishes processes and procedures to effectively meet those needs.
- Oversee multi-unit sales and supports the management and coordination of key accounts (products, delivery schedules, customer contracts, reporting and communication needs and new ideas).
- Oversee marketing and supports the successful implementation of local foodservice marketing programs as measured by favorable company financial performance. Monitor the effectiveness of marketing programs and formulate suggestions regarding prospective improvements and changes.
- Oversee, develop and manage local earned income marketing promotions and programs.
- Deliver and present proposals to street and multi-unit customers. Meet with suppliers when necessary. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction. Provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers/vendors and coworkers.
- Work with senior management in developing and executing plans, establishing direction and evaluating company performance. Review and recommend policy and procedure changes. Participate in the strategic planning process of the company.
- Implement sales processes which are efficient and integrated with the other departments so as to present a "seamless" operation to the customer.
- Develop interpersonal relationships which encourage openness, creating a culture of candor and trust, both internally and externally.
- Plan, attend and present information at sales meetings. Conduct and participate in committee meetings. Attend trade association meetings. Plan food shows and seminars.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualification:
6+ Years Foodservice industry sales or related area with sales leadership experience.
4-6 Years of Sales Director experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
